The Opportunity

Love luxury travel and ready to take the lead? We’re recruiting for a Private Travel Team Leader to help build an exciting new department within an established business, creating exceptional bespoke travel experiences for its corporate clients.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves being hands-on, enjoys inspiring others and wants to play a key role in shaping a growing business. In time, there will be a small team to manage and plenty of scope to make your mark. You’ll have the chance to bring your skills and expertise in travel and help create something special from the ground up!

 What you’ll be doing

  • Working towards leading, motivating and developing a small team of Travel Consultants, helping them deliver outstanding service and unforgettable travel experiences.

  • Creating and overseeing a variety of luxury travel itineraries, from tailor-made holidays to high-end, bespoke experiences.

  • Being the first point of contact for clients, building relationships and getting stuck into the day-to-day as the department grows.

  • Sharing your product knowledge, supporting your team and building strong relationships with travel suppliers.

  • Bringing fresh ideas and creative thinking to help shape the department, its offering and its future growth.

  • Working collaboratively with other areas of the business to maximise opportunities and raise awareness of the team's services.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within the luxury, tailor-made or high-end leisure travel sector.

  • A confident, proactive approach and the ability to lead by example in a busy, evolving environment.

  • Strong luxury travel product knowledge and GDS competency.

  • Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.

  • A genuine passion for travel and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

  • Someone who enjoys getting involved, taking the initiative and making things happen rather than waiting to be told what to do.

Most importantly, you’ll be excited by the prospect of a blank canvas. This is your chance to help build a department, influence how it develops and put your own stamp on the way things are done.

A great place to start

This is an opportunity to combine your love of luxury travel with the chance to make a real difference in a growing business.

Here’s what’s on offer:

  • Salary: £45,000–£50,000 basic, plus commission.

  • Hybrid working: A mix of office and home working, with 1–2 days a week in the office.

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, with no weekend working.

  • Travel perks: Exclusive travel benefits and educational trips.

  • Career development: The opportunity to grow alongside the department and play a key role in its success.

  • Team culture: A creative, close-knit and supportive environment where your ideas are welcomed and your contribution really counts.

If you’re ready to take the lead, get creative and help build something exciting in luxury travel, we’d love to hear from you!
