The Opportunity

Are you confident using Galileo, Amadeus or Sabre and keen to take your first steps into Business Travel? If you’ve been trying to make the move but struggling to get that all-important opportunity, this could be just what you’re looking for!

We’re recruiting for a Business Travel Consultant to join a global travel business with a small London team, giving you the chance to learn the industry, develop your skills and really understand how corporate travel works.

Business Travel is fast-paced, customer-focused and all about delivering great service. You’ll be working with a supportive team, putting your existing travel knowledge to good use and learning plenty along the way.

With a competitive basic salary, Monday–Friday working hours and no call-centre-style targets, this is a great opportunity to make the move into a new area of travel and develop on what you already know!

 What you’ll be doing

  • Booking flights, hotels, car hire and other travel arrangements for corporate clients.

  • Using your existing GDS knowledge to manage bookings accurately and efficiently.

  • Liaising with travel suppliers to make sure everything runs smoothly.

  • Providing friendly, professional customer service and helping clients with their travel requirements.

  • Working closely with your colleagues in a small team where everyone plays their part.

  • Developing your business travel knowledge and building on the skills you already have.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to be a competent, current user of Galileo, Amadeus or Sabre, with a background in travel and a genuine interest in moving into Business Travel.

You’ll also need to be someone who:

  • Can confidently book flights, hotels, car hire and other travel ancillaries.

  • Is comfortable dealing with suppliers on a daily basis.

  • Has good communication and IT skills.

  • Enjoys working as part of a small, supportive team.

  • Has a good understanding of fares, with ticketing knowledge an advantage.

  • Takes pride in providing excellent service and getting the details right.

You’ll also need to be able to travel into the City of London two days a week, with the office conveniently located near Bank, Liverpool Street and Fenchurch Street stations. The other days you will be working from home.

A great place to start

If you’ve got the travel knowledge but haven't yet had the chance to break into Business Travel, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

You’ll be joining a business with a global presence but a close-knit London team, giving you the best of both worlds: the backing of an established organisation and the opportunity to learn from colleagues around you.

Add in a competitive salary, Monday–Friday hours and a role where service matters more than hitting endless call targets, and you’ve got a great next step for your travel career.

Ready to take your travel experience in a new direction? We’d love to hear from you!
