Are you experienced in booking groups and events? Looking for a new and challenging opportunity in 2018?

Researching, planning and delivering event and group travel logistics to deadlines, either alone or with the team.
Creating clear and attractive event proposals to clients, following up and responding within agreed SLA’s. Anticipating other client needs and adding value where possible.
Maintaining a good relationship with corporate clients, communicating any relevant account information to the Groups & Events Manager or Account Manager.
Taking ownership of tasks and providing solutions to problems where necessary. Managing an enquiry from initial client contact through to end invoice.
Keeping invoicing and event logs up to date Maintaining and building on a solid knowledge of venues and other event suppliers, for UK and overseas events. Increase industry awareness by attending supplier presentations and functions, venue inspections and familiarisation trips when required.
Understanding the importance of processes and contracts
Occasional onsite event assistance and overtime will be required.
Experience within the UK travel industry, ideally within a group travel and/or events role.
The candidate must have experience of booking multiple elements of group travel and booking meeting spaces or arranging events on clients’
Experience of using Sabre GDS is preferred but not essential
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time whilst always maintaining a high standard of work and customer service.
Able to take a client brief and provide effective and appropriate solutions, matching the client’s criteria.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, primarily Outlook, Word and Excel. The candidate must be able to format and amend documents to a professional standard.
Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, with high standards of punctuation and grammar.
